Thankfully not the UK Subs. As their name suggests, sinking below the finer pop sensibilities of the Yachts. Stiff records seemed to find numerous bands who sounded like this. Like to hear some of the stuff they never released.
BTW James regarding your comment about never hearing, or indeed knowing of, some of the bands I bung in my chart you are welcome to demand a CDR of such stuff. Send me your address via my blog and I'll send you a selection of stuff, you may loathe or love. If you wish, of course.
I think that comment was somebody else, Gary at ASFM, I think. There is things on your chart that I'm in the dark about. I all but gave up buying new records in 1990.
Wish I had. I'd be rich now instead of trapped in a flat brimmimg over with vinyl.
