DEEL TIJD PUNKE!

What the fuck! Yet another copy of Bobby Ranger's awesome Punke Punke sees no action at all. How did vanya_nobrains get £23.00 for this when no one wants a copy for close to a 10th of that top bid? ...perhaps her good looks influenced things a little?

What's that? Didn't see it? ...well here's another one. Who's going to be cool enough to bid on it?

Worthless Trash Update - NO CHOICE

Riot City released a lot of run-of-the-mill punk records, most of which you won't need to hear twice. There were a few listenable offering from the likes of Resistance 77, The Expelled, Emergency and The Underdogs, but the label's finest 45 was by Welsh punks No Choice.

MOUTH TO MOUTH

Don't get too excited, I don't have a Mouth To Mouth single. Actually I've never heard the record, but I'm led to believe it's rather good. I know of someone who has heard it, in fact I can go one better than that, the man who actually sang on the record got in touch with some much needed info. That man is none other than Guy Greenhough of infamous punk rock chancers The Vacants. Here's the facts...

'Just seen your new wave discography entry for Mouth To Mouth. That record had me on vocals and Jeff Jansen from The Vacants on bass, Aussie Rob Crasti played guitar. There were two songs on the a side - Gallery Of Dolls and Life In The Subterrain. They were pressed on one side to save money, complete with blank label and John Bull lettering. I played the record to Geoff Travis at Rough Trade and he took 200 copies off me.'

Guy Greenhough is looking for MP3's of the songs if anyone can help out. If so, get in touch via email and I'll pass them on.

SMALL WONDER CATALOGUE, MAY 1983 (part 5)

Here's the final 6 pages from the old Small Wonder catalogue. There's not as many bargains as we reach the album section, but The Desperate Bicycles LP at £1.99 would have been nice even back then. Also quite a few reduced comps like Identity Parade, Logical Steps and that Nova Vaga LP (half various artists, half The Warm). £28.50 for the Factory Video, was that the going rate for a VHS tape back then?

Worthless Trash Update - THE RIVALS

In 1978, The Rivals were dreaming of being Top Of The Pops on the flip of their only single Skateboarding In The UK. In a perfect world, Peter Powell (or whoever else was doing the 'Pops that week) would've been introducing the band on that very show (preferably sequenced inbetween Jilted John and the Buzzcocks).
