'Silly Old Songs' was the 2nd of two 45's by Belgian punk 'n' roll star Johnny Palermo. Like his previous hit single 'Saturday Night' this one also dented the Belgian top 30 in the first weeks of 1979 with all copies being pressed on white vinyl. Euro pressings on coloured vinyl were still a bit of a novelty at the time except for that group of Belgian Stiff singles that came out on yellow vinyl in 1978.
The A-side follows the same formula as Palermo's previous single but it seems the Vlaeyen brothers were a little short of ideas for the B-side which sounds more 'work in progress', still nice though. That's the boy Palermo in the top right of the sleeve but still can't tell you any more.
